Enfim chegou a noite da principal premiação da música mundial. Aconteceu neste domingo (26) a 56ª edição do Grammy Awards, mais uma vez apresentada pelo rapper e ator LL Cool J diretamente do Staples Center, em Los Angeles.
O dono do maior número de indicações, Jay Z, teve que se contentar com apenas dois prêmios dos nove que concorria. O rapper marido de Beyoncé recebeu os prêmios por duas colaborações com Justin Timberlake: o primeiro de “Melhor Colaboração de Rap” por “Holy Grail” e o segundo de “Melhor Videoclipe” por “Suit & Tie”. Já os franceses do Daft Punk arremataram o grande prêmio de “Álbum do Ano” por “Random Access Memories”, além de “Gravação do Ano” e “Melhor Performance de Pop de Duo ou Grupo” pelo hit mundial de 2013 “Get Lucky”.
A dupla do rapper Macklemore e do produtor Ryan Lewis foi prestigiada com quatro dos sete prêmios os quais concorria, incluindo “Artista Revelação”, “Melhor Álbum de Rap” e “Melhor Canção de Rap” por “Thrift Shop”. A neozelandesa Lorde de 17 anos se surpreendeu ao levar para casa os troféus de “Melhor Performance Pop Solo” e “Canção do Ano” por “Royals”. Nomes como Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Imagine Dragons e Pharrel Williams também foram premiados.
