Duas atrações que estiveram presentes no Lollapalooza estão dominando as indicações ao Billboard Awards deste ano. A neozelandesa Lorde e os americanos do Imagine Dragons concorrem em 12 das 40 categorias, incluindo “Top Hot 100 Artist”, na qual competem com Miley Cyrus e Katy Perry, e “Top Radio Songs Artist”.
Este ano, os dois brilharam em outras premiações, incluindo o Grammy. No Oscar da música, Lorde saiu vitoriosa com a conquista dos gramofones nas categorias “Song of the Year” e “Best Solo Pop Performance”, enquanto os donos do hit “Radioactive” levaram para casa apenas o prêmio de “Best Rock Performance”.
A cerimônia de entrega do Billboard Awards 2014 ocorre no dia 18 de maio em Las Vegas e será transmitido pela rede americana ABC.
