A MTV anunciou nesta terça-feira (25) os indicados ao VMA 2017. O evento ocorre no dia 26 de agosto, no The Forum, na Califórnia.
Como esperado por muitos, a liderança ficou com Kendrick Lamar, que teve oito nomeações por conta de “HUMBLE.”, presente em seu elogiadíssimo álbum “DAMN.” Já Katy Perry e The Weeknd aparecem logo em seguida, com cinco indicações cada.
A lista possui algumas novidades bem interessantes. A MTV decidiu acabar com as categorias por gênero. Ou seja, as antigas nomeações que separavam homens e mulheres agora serão mescladas, aumentando de forma saudável a disputa entre os artistas.
Além disso, foi criada a categoria “Melhor Luta Contra o Sistema”, com músicos que batalham contra a injustiça e desigualdade social em suas músicas.
